Un fet històric que va tenir lloc en les proximitats d’Atzeneta del Maestrat va ser la batalla en la qual el general liberal O’Donell va derrotar el general carlí Cabrera.</p> <p><strong>ENG: </strong>Everything and the encounter of remains from the Bronze Age to the Riu Montlleó Basin and in the surroundings of the Castell, as well as the presence of the Islamic civilization, which gave its name to Atzeneta, from the name of the Berber tribe Az-Zanata The known history of the town began with the Christian conquest of King Jaime I, when Atzeneta passed to the domain of Blasco de Alagón; and one of its descendants, Guillermo de Anglesola, was the one who granted on January 11, 1272 the population charter to Guillem Colom i Raimon de Canet. At the beginning of the 14th century, Atzeneta came under the control of the military orders: first in the Temple and later, in 1317, under the order of Montesa. From then until the middle of the 19th century Atzeneta was part of the Seventh of Culla, and it even became the residence of the Comanador, Enric Banyuls. The Seventh was a unique grouping of municipalities or ‘Community of Herbatges’ to defend their common agricultural interests. Atzeneta experienced a period of prosperity during the 15th century, coinciding with the heyday of the commerce of the plain, which was exported in Italy. On the other hand, the 19th century was a time of continuous wars and great instability, especially during the First Carlist War, which had the Maestrat one of its main scenarios. A historical event that took place in the vicinity of Atzeneta del Maestrat was the battle in which the Liberal General O'Donell defeated the Carlist General Cabrera.</p> </div> <div> <div>Etiquetas</div> <div> <div><a href="http://www.atzenetadelmaestrat.es/turisme" hreflang="ca">Turisme</a></div> </div> </div> Mon, 01 Mar 2021 12:43:05 +0000 ayuntamiento 849 at http://www.atzenetadelmaestrat.es
